Coffee and Networking, Yoga, Clay Pigeon Shooting and Bagpipe Workshops
Winton was delighted to be invited to host the SITE Scotland Summer social event in August.
SITE stands for the Society for Incentive Travel, the professional voice for the events and incentive industry with 2650 members from over 90 countries. As Winton is a member of the Scottish chapter it was a real pleasure to host 70 fellow tourism professionals from all over Scotland.
After a busy (and noisy) start with lots of networking and coffee in the Castle’s Octagon Hall, we centred ourselves into the day with a refreshing seated yoga session in the dining room. The pace then picked up dramatically with competitive clay pigeon shooting in the woods and musical (?!) bagpiping workshops in the drawing room.
Dog and Duck Herding and Falconry in Winton's Walled Garden
After a quick pitstop for coffee we moved back outdoors for some more activities, this time in the walled garden for a hilarious dog and duck herding display before rounding off the morning with an introduction to handling beautiful birds of prey.
No hospitality event would be complete without delectable eats, and a tempting smorgasbord of meats, cheeses and breads awaited us in the dining room, all washed down with Edinburgh Gin summer themed cocktails.
To end the day in style, everyone enjoyed a delicious Luca’s ice cream served from their vintage Rolls Royce.
The President from the Scottish Chapter, Liz Del Giacco commented that the event “had been a huge success and lots of fun.”
