Fiona and Neil Wilson held their lovely summer wedding at Winton House. We are very grateful to them for letting us show their excellent video – click here to watch it.
After their church ceremony at Currie Kirk, the wedding party swept into Winton House. The sun was shining so the Champagne reception was held in style on the front lawn, with the skirl of bagpipes from the castle’s tower.
Next up were dinner and speeches in the marquee before moving back into Winton House to cut the cake and have tea and coffee in the drawing room and library. The evening’s entertainment was an energetic ceilidh in the ballroom (with a fantastic all-female ceilidh band), and a hog roast on the Peacock Balcony.
About 40 friends and family stayed overnight in Winton House, Winton Cottage and Wintonhill Farmhouse. The next morning, the guests caught up and reminisced over a full Scottish breakfast in Winton’s dining room .
We wish Fiona and Neil all the best for the future.
